Slovakia national team uniform for the Euro. Northern Ireland

On the eve of Euro 2016, Sky Sports conducted a survey in which they determined the best and worst forms of the championship. The last place in the ranking was taken by the Ukrainian national team kit, and the penultimate one by ours, the Russian one (8.4 thousand people left a positive review, 45 thousand – a negative one). We decided to compile our reader's rating of the best and worst kits of the European Championship - and there weren't many similarities with the British rating.

The best

5. Russia (+1426 votes)

Judging by the fans' reviews, our team's equipment is controversial, but nice. The away kit is extremely encouraging - due to the large coat of arms across the entire chest and the successful selection of colors (white T-shirts, blue shorts, red socks). The home is treated differently because of the color of the brick wall, which has become boring to many. But together, the two sets look quite good.

4. Türkiye (+1438 votes)

The presence of the Turkish uniform in our ranking is proof that politics does not play any role in such voting. Who cares what country it is as long as the uniform looks nice? The Turks will play in overflow kits - from red to black and from white to blue. If you don't get into the slightly strange color schemes (perhaps the red and white version would look more familiar), then the set looks very stylish.

3. Spain (+1491 votes)

Applause to the designers for the Spanish away kit. This is where it’s done in a nice, bright, original way, and the triangular ornament is quite appropriate! In addition, they got it right with the colors - iridescent yellow and red added some zest to the set. And the home uniform is made neatly, simply, but no less cute. And it doesn't look cheap.

2. Italy (+1876 votes)

And here we admire the masterful away form. White T-shirts with blue stripes, a blue collar that stands out, longitudinal stripes in the colors of the Italian flag - the mix turned out to be of very high quality and tasty. Home uniform, with barely noticeable stripes, caused polar opinions in Italy, however, it also looks very successful.

1. Croatia (+3756 votes)

Traditional plaid from Croatia - everyone seems to love it. The home uniform is red and white checkered, the away uniform is blue (which, by the way, was done for the first time - previously blue Croatian T-shirts had a red and white checkered pattern). In addition, the cage was made asymmetrical - and it looks even more stylish than before. In a poll on the Sky Sports website, the Croatian cage took second place. After France (which is strange, given the simplicity of its kit).

Worst

5. Hungary (-892 votes)

A typical shape that no one likes. She may be stylish, but she is too simple. Three stripes on the shoulders, an empty T-shirt without ornaments, a green stripe... An ordinary, unremarkable uniform. For a team from the yard - normal. But not for the Euro participant.

4. Ireland (-1022 votes)

Crazy diagonal stripes in different shades of green, white and orange collars and missing collars on white T-shirts - all this may look cute, but not all together. It is important that many readers thought that the three on Irish jerseys was a standard example of a number that would adorn the chest. But this is not so - it is just the logo of the mobile operator Tre, which is present in all photographs of the Irish kit outside official matches. Perhaps without these three, the set would have aroused much more sympathy.

3. Ukraine (-1319 votes)

Proof that checkered patterns are not always good and not everyone likes them. The mesh on Ukrainian T-shirts looks more like a tablecloth than a pattern for a uniform. It's a pity - you can play much better with yellow-blue flowers.

2. Wales (-1495 votes)

A simple home kit in red without any invention is not so bad: you have to try hard to ruin the away kit. Not only does the color scheme - black, gray and yellow - look strange and not at all Welsh, but the horizontal stripes on the T-shirts do not add style at all.

1. Romania (-1862 votes)

Romanian equipment is a hopeless outsider in our voting. The Romanian national team uniform looks as if Joma's accountants urgently needed to submit an annual report on the production of yellow fabric and they simply did not have time to contact the designers. And then they found out that there was red fabric left - that’s how the away uniform appeared. Of course, traditions are good, but still, a single-color uniform could be more interesting. Much more interesting, like those of the same Italians.

The European Football Championship is one of the largest events in the world of sports, which attracts the attention of an audience of millions. Therefore, it is not surprising that there is a real PR war going on for the attention of fans, spectators and simply participants of the European forum. Everyone wants to share the success with the participating teams, including sports equipment brands. Obtaining the right to complete the national team kit for Euro 2016 is not a cheap pleasure, for which you need to pay a sum with several zeros. But this does not stop well-known brands who are willing to pay any money if only their uniforms would be presented at the European Championships.

The editors of euro2016.cc decided to analyze the sports equipment market; according to the consulting company SportsStat, in 2015 Nike accounted for 15.9% of the global sports equipment market, and Adidas 13.4%. But the situation is a little different at the upcoming European Championships, it looks like the Adidas kit at Euro 2016 will have the largest representation. There is less and less time left before the start of Euro 2016; teams are already choosing their locations, forming final applications and presenting game kits. Not everyone has decided on the design yet, but half of the participants have already presented new kits for Euro 2016.

Closer to the tournament itself, all teams will present new team uniforms for Euro 2016, but for now we invite you to familiarize yourself with the game kits of the participants who have already made official presentations.

On November 17, 2015, the national team of Ukraine managed to qualify for the European Championship, held in next year in France. In the near future, the Football Federation of Ukraine should hold a presentation of a special new uniform in which our national team will compete at this tournament. It is worth noting that many national teams, who will also take part in Euro 2016, have already officially presented their new “robes” in which they will delight their fans. We invite you to take a closer look at the forms already presented.

Germany. Adidas company.

The Germany home kit is made in traditional colors - an all-white T-shirt, black shorts and socks. It is worth noting the appearance on the front side of the T-shirt of an emblem reflecting a historical achievement - victory at the 2014 World Championship. The creators also noted the combination of black shorts with black socks, which was last used in 1962. Germany has completely updated the away kit - a black center with gray stripes, as well as dark green sleeves, white shorts and socks.

Italy. Puma company.

The Italian national team decided not to deviate from their standard colors: home uniform - blue top, white bottom, blue socks; away - white top, blue bottom, white socks. However, there are a couple of differences from the old uniform - a lighter blue color, as well as jacquard stripes that run vertically throughout the shirt except the sleeves.

Spain. Adidas company.

Spain's home uniform remains virtually unchanged, with the addition of a red diamond pattern - red top, blue bottom and dark blue socks. But as for the away team, it has undergone drastic changes. The Spaniards abandoned black colors and presented a completely new design. White shorts and white socks, and a white T-shirt with a “flame” pattern, which is also made in chaotic diamonds - red, yellow and orange. The placement of this pattern is centered around the emblem of the Spanish national team.

Russia. Adidas company.

The home uniform of the Russian national team is all dark burgundy. T-shirt with emblem pattern Russian Federation, which is made in a light gold color, and the T-shirt also has gold stripes on the sides. As for the Russian away kit, the shorts are blue, the socks are red and the jersey is white, with a large pattern of the Russian Federation emblem in the very center, which is done in gray.

Sweden. Adidas company.

The Swedish national team's home uniform has not undergone any significant changes, remaining yellow and blue, with only golden stripes appearing on the team's T-shirt. As for the away kit, it has changed to blue-gray, the shorts are dark blue, as are the socks.

Belgium. Adidas company.

The Belgium national team's home kit suffered only minor changes - the shorts remained black, as did the socks, but the jersey was changed: it became red and black, instead of the red and orange stripes that ran diagonally across the entire jersey. As for the away uniform, it has undergone more dramatic changes: if previously the uniform was completely red, now they have decided to change it. Black shorts, black and blue socks and a light blue T-shirt with a prominent Belgian flag in the center. This change was inspired by the uniforms of the famous Belgian cyclists, so it was decided to show tribute to this sport.

Romania. Joma company.

The uniform of the Romanian national team has not undergone any major changes: the home kit is all yellow with red stripes on the sides and a blue collar, and the away kit is red with yellow stripes on the sides and also a blue collar. Only the blue stripes that were on the sleeves disappeared.

Wales. Adidas company.

The Wales national team have decided to keep the home kit color in the classic red with white stripes on the shoulders, with only slight changes to the texture of the material. If previously there were diagonal small red stripes on the uniform, now they have been abandoned. As for the away kit, it has been completely changed. Now in France, Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will sport a striped kit in varying shades of grey, with a bright green collar and stripes on the shoulders.

Austria. Puma company.

The Austrian national team presented only the home kit, the presentation of the away kit should take place in the near future. According to Austrian publications, the away kit will be white with black stripes on the shoulders and black shorts. As for the home kit, it remains traditionally red and white, in honor of the colors of the Austrian flag. A red T-shirt with a large white stripe on the shoulders, as well as white shorts and red socks. The only new thing about this jersey is the light red stripes that run diagonally across the front and the fact that the jersey is made in different shades of red.

Northern Ireland. Adidas company.

The Northern Ireland home kit is green with dark blue sleeves and a blue horizontal stripe down the middle, which differentiates it from the previous version. As for the away kit, it is white with a green horizontal stripe down the center and green stripes on the shoulders.

Slovakia. Puma company.

On this moment The Slovakian national team presented only the home version of the kit, which is made in classic colors - white and blue. White T-shirt and shorts with stripes removed.

Czech Republic. Puma company.

The Czech national team also presented only the home version of the uniform, which has different shades of red. It is also worth noting the very original pattern on the T-shirt, which is depicted horizontally. The shorts and socks are also red. It is also worth noting the placement of the national team emblem, which is located in the very center of the T-shirt.

Switzerland. Puma company.

The last team that has currently presented its kit is Switzerland. Only the home kit was officially presented. A red striped T-shirt that is a lighter shade of red, along with white shorts and red socks. As for the away kit, the jersey announced is white with small red stripes on it.

At the moment, these are all the 2016 European Championship kits that have been officially presented. It is also worth recalling that a presentation of the Ukrainian national team uniforms will take place in the near future. Many publications claim that it will have a similar appearance.

ABOUT However, whether this is so, we will only be able to find out after some time.

Adidas used classic colors in the kit - primary red combined with white. If you look at it objectively, this uniform cannot be called a new product in the football field. Quite standard, classic design, more retro with a simple template.

As in the case of the Northern Ireland team, I applied three white stripes not to the sides of the T-shirt, but to the shoulders. The collar has a V-neck and is edged in white.
The Wales UEFA EURO 2016 home kit is completed with white shorts and red socks.

The guest kit is made according to the template of the home kit in a combination of two shades of gray. Horizontal stripes alternate only on the front of the T-shirt, while the back is made in one tone.

The collar is made in green and contrasts harmoniously with the main color. The Adidas stripes on the shoulders are also in green.

The shorts and socks are gray with green elements.

Group A

France

Like previous seasons' kits, the new France home kit is not red. The away kit looks nice, retaining the colors of the French tricolor in slightly different shades.

Romania

The uniform of the Romanian national team is traditionally colorful and not very beautiful. Both sets are made on the same layout. The only interesting detail on the shirt is the country flag on the collar.

Switzerland

Puma continues to produce good kits for the Swiss national team. A neat home kit looks very nice. The away kit is more colorful, which, however, does not prevent it from looking interesting compared to many other kits.

Albania

The Macron company has released what we think is a decent uniform for the Albanian national team. The T-shirt has an unusual neckline, and the main design on the uniform rhymes with the eagle on the emblem. This uniform should look good on football players.

Group B

Russia

As the voting on our website showed, in general, everyone likes our team’s uniform, but many are confused by the home kit. On the contrary, we believe that the gray spot on the away uniform could have been done more accurately. One way or another, we like the uniform of the Russian national team.

England

England remains true to its traditions. White and red roses, white and red T-shirts. The home kit features a white shirt, white shorts and red socks, which may remind seasoned fans of the victory over Brazil at the Maracanã in 1984.

Slovakia

The design of the Slovakia kit is similar to the Switzerland kit, but these kits have a more interesting version of the collar. The away kit demonstrates an interesting and fresh approach to the colors of football equipment.

Wales

Wales' home kit should appeal to fans of the classics. Nothing extra. The guest set is exactly what it should be: two shades of gray and bright details.

Group C

Germany

Two very interesting kits. The home kit is traditionally white with black detailing. A vertical diagram runs along the T-shirt, which reflects the success of the team at previous World and European Championships. The away kit of the German national team is also unique in its own way: the T-shirt is double-sided - if you turn it inside out, it turns into a training shirt.

Ukraine

Both uniforms of the Ukrainian national team have the same design and differ only in color. The uniform is decorated with a check pattern, which was usually used to decorate Scottish tartan fabric.

Poland

The Poland national team kit is made on the same layout as any Nike kit presented at the Euros. The classic combination of colors and mysterious pattern makes this shape quite attractive.

Northern Ireland

The blue color has been carried over from last year's away kit to the home kit, it may not be to everyone's liking, but it looks good. The away kit looks even better.

Group D

Spain

A very bold design of the uniform was approved by the Spanish national team. Fresh, youthful!

Croatia

The Croatian national team did not reinvent the wheel and will compete in a traditional cage.

Czech

The Czech national team's home kit looks like a comic book superhero costume, which should terrify their group rivals. The away kit of the Czech Republic national team cannot boast of an aggressive design, but it is also a worthy option.

Türkiye

The Turkish national team has prepared two interesting kits. The home red and black T-shirt flows smoothly into black shorts, and the white and blue away shirt flows into light blue ones. An interesting move, although not new.

Group E

Belgium

The home kit of the Belgium national team is nothing interesting, but the away kit looks interesting. The blue T-shirt with the Belgian tricolor in the middle did not appear by chance: it is a tribute to cycling and the uniform of the national cycling team.

Italy

The Italy home kit looks really nice. A nice shade of blue, gold-painted details, a few interesting features that are only noticeable if you hold the jersey in your hands. The away uniform is as beautiful as the home kit. The Italians certainly hold their own.

Sweden

Sweden's home kit looks nice. A classic round collar, cuffs painted in the color of the flag, textured horizontal stripes - all this makes the Sweden team uniform beautiful and interesting. The away kit has a strange coloring and design, but this only works as a plus.

Ireland

Ireland's two classic kits from last year are no longer relevant. Umbro decided to make three new interesting shapes, but, it seems to us, they were a little too clever with the choice of colors and designs. What do you think?

Group F

Portugal

Nike has chosen an interesting color for the Portugal away jersey. If all the kits are made on the same template, there must be something surprising, right?

Austria

Puma, unlike Nike, comes up with interesting solutions for each uniform. The Austrian national team received an interesting design for the home kit, but the away kit looks a bit boring.

Hungary

Hungary has not qualified for the European Championships since 1972, but did not celebrate the joyful event by releasing a good kit. Instead, Adidas and Hungary took last year's standard layout, added a crest, and ended up with kits in which the players will rush into battle. It's horrible.

Iceland

The Italians from Errea tried their best and made an excellent uniform for an interesting team. The home kit is made in the colors of the national flag, and the away kit is in the opposite colors. The form is not overloaded with unnecessary details, but at the same time has several beautiful elements.

To summarize, the editors would like to note high level kits presented by manufacturers and the presence of interesting aspects in the design of individual teams. I would especially like to highlight the pleasing uniforms of the national teams of Italy, Germany and Iceland. The T-shirts of the national teams of Romania, Belgium and Hungary could have been much more interesting and, in general, left conflicting feelings from contemplating them.

In general, I would like to wish all football fans a pleasant viewing of the main European football start of the four years, and do not forget to vote for your favorite kits by selecting up to three teams. Go!
