Mount Ai-Petri can safely be called one of the most popular in the Crimea. One of the best ski resorts in the region is located on its plateau, which is popular not only with domestic, but also with many foreign tourists. Ai-Petri ski resort is located near Yalta. It has long been chosen by both beginners and professionals of winter extreme species sports.
A feature of the climate of Mount Ai-Petri is that the average temperature in the same month can vary greatly. The difference can reach 20 or more degrees. Winter on the mountain lasts from about October to May, although sometimes snow can fall in another period. Characteristics of the tracks on Ai-Petri
There are 6 pistes of different length and complexity, which are ideal for amateurs, athletes and beginners. Everyone will be able to choose for themselves a suitable track, according to the level of their skill.
- Track "Frog" considered the shortest and safest. It is ideal for beginners and children who first came to the plateau. The length of the track reaches 120 m. There is a baby lift and lifts. You can also use the services of instructors.
- Route "Kichkine"- another ideal track for beginners. You can get to it if you walk 1.2 km along the Bakhchisaray highway and even before the shelter about 300 meters. There is a lift, professional instructors, equipped places for recreation. The length of the track itself is 0.32 km.
- "Laboratory"- also a relatively short track (only 340 m). True, it works very rarely, and then by prior agreement. Her main feature is relief. It is impossible to get to it by car, as well as by lift, because there is none. This can only be done if the snowmobile is used. Great for professionals and experienced athletes, because there are no beginners and no one will interfere.
- "26th kilometer", whose length is 600 meters, is located 5 km from the Bakhchisaray highway. There is a cafe, a lot of equipped places for recreation. But, for example, if compared with Kichkine, this track is not equipped with anything. However, it is still very popular, because the length of the track is decent, it is relatively safe, and the view from here is very picturesque. Therefore, there are always a lot of people on this route.
- It's easy to guess that highway "27 km" located a kilometer from the previous one, a little further. It is considered the longest track (1030 m).
- "Snowpark" the length of which is 150 m, is considered the most equipped track on Mount Ai-Petri.
Resort prices
To relax on Mount Ai-Petri, you do not need to spend fabulous money. Although, it all depends on what exactly the tourists want. In addition to skiing, for an additional fee, they can go horseback riding and ski joring. Ski equipment can be rented, or you can bring your own if you have it. It is not necessary to stay here overnight, because you can go back to the city on the same day, because it is located relatively close.
Suspension bridge cost is 500 rubles. Entrance to equipped caves (Trekhglazka, Yalta, etc.) costs 200 rubles.

Accommodation

Ai-Petri: a holiday for snow lovers
Formally, this place is not a ski resort, but everything you need for an active winter leisure available. The height of the plateau exceeds 1200 m above sea level, there are slopes with different characteristics. Accordingly, the routes are laid of various lengths and complexity. There are areas for professionals who are prone to risk, and unpretentious routes.
There are 6 slopes in total. The shortest - a little over 100 m - is called the Frog. In the bathing areas, this is the traditional nickname for the children's beach. However, it is also true for the mountains: there is a special baby lift, instructors and experienced parents work with young skiers in a convenient area.
The longest one - 27th kilometer - exceeds 1000 m in length and has a height difference of 170 m. It is intended for professionals. The snowpark does not provide all the opportunities for freestyle connoisseurs. There they indulge in risky entertainment, without the risk of accidentally crushing one of the inexperienced. Officially, winter in the Crimea continues from the beginning, but skiers especially recommend it. By this time, the snow cover has time to compact enough, therefore, skiing will be more convenient.
You can also go sledding and snowboarding here. All equipment is easy to rent, the prices are quite reasonable. Usually they charge for the day of use. You can climb the plateau with the help of 9 drag lifts. They work until 16:00 (until 18:00 on weekends), the restrictions are clear - to ride skiing it's too dangerous in the dark. Angarsk pass of Crimea
The names should not be confused - the Crimean Angara flows between and Chatyr-Dag, this region became a favorite place for snow lovers back in Soviet times. The photos allow you to be convinced of the picturesqueness of the winter Angarsk Pass, often people come here not for the sake of mountain trails, but simply to ride among the forest.
But there are plenty of things to do for the savvy too. There are descents with a large elevation difference - 
up to 700 m, which adds adrenaline to athletes. Ski resorts in Crimea can rarely boast of a long season, but here it snows after cold winter frequently delayed until . The most interesting place is known as. Theoretically, the pass has better prospects than Ai-Petri for turning into a resort recreation for professionals and simply advanced athletes. But for inexperienced sites there.
Back in Soviet times, three ski lifts were built in the Angarsk area. You can find accommodation and the opportunity to dine in the surrounding villages and in (12 km). In terms of prices, it is considered more democratic than the previous version.
